Which Social Media Is Best For Business?

There’s no doubt that social media for business is an important part of any growth strategy.  And when plotting your social strategy as a brand, you’re usually wondering, “which platform is best?”  Tackling this question, there’s obviously a lot to consider.  But first, to clear things up, no one platform is necessarily “best.”  And you can (and should) be using your content between the different platforms to drive traffic across them.

So, here’s a little rundown of each platforms’ strengths.  And, how you can use them together for best results.

Snapchat

Since Instagram decided to take a page out of Snapchat’s Stories, Snap has seen a dip in their numbers.  Causing some people to say the dancing ghost is done.  Our opinion: don’t rule out Snap so fast.

Snapchat’s huge with younger demographics.  Reigning most popular among users aging 18-24, who almost double the number of users aging 25-34.  And, Snap’s users spend an average of a half an hour on the app each day, in comparison to the 15 minutes users spend on Insta.

For brands with big personality, Snapchat’s a good go-to.  It’s a quick and quirky outlet to give users an idea of who you are and what you’re doing.  It’s a great tool to provide users with a little sneak peek of the behind-the-scenes at your business.  And this type of transparency will only help build your business-buyer relationship.

Instagram

Insta clocks in around 250 million daily users, so needless to say, there’s a lot of business opportunity within this app.  Instagram serves as a platform for you to present carefully curated content to your audience.  It let’s you showcase your product/services, while also telling your brand story, to paint the full picture of what your business is all about.

Your biggest obstacle here is making sure your content holds up across the platform.  If you don’t have solid content on your Instagram page, then no matter how many Stories you post, you won’t be able to retain the traffic driven by them.

And the same goes for ads.  So be sure that your feed is rich with content that’s telling the story you want it to.  This way, when traffic is driven to your page, they’re there to stay.

Facebook

Facebook’s a beast of its own when it comes to social platforms.  It has a completely different set of capabilities to target, track progress, and provide insights.  And, of all three, FB definitely has the most advertising tools.

Facebook’s constantly looking for ways to benefit your business.  Making it easier for you to connect with the consumer, track your advertising efforts, and reach the largest (and most valuable) audience for your brand.

And, implementing a strategy using all three can help growth across the board.  Utilizing all three helps drive traffic across them.  And, you can cater to your different audiences on each platform by curating your content accordingly.

So, moral of this social media story, all the social platforms are different, all are great for business.
